YMOM has expanded our "Don’t Lose Your Edge" Work Training program by giving young men the opportunity to gain experience in a skilled trade of masonry work. Our young men learned that masonry is a great trade. They learned about Cement Masons, Cement Finishers and the proper tools needed to complete various projects. Overall, Mr. Willie not only explained but he demonstrated by allowing the young men to get their hands dirty. Our young men not only learned how to mix cement, how to pour the cement and tools needed to complete the task before them, but they learned how to build a porch, and sidewalk properly. Our young men were excited about the projects that they have completed with Mr. Willie. YMOM appreciates Mr. Willie more than he knows. Our young men now understand that there is more to landscaping, it's not limited to cutting lawns.
